Hydro Are Endeavor to Make Recycled Aluminum Chairs
The Norwegian aluminum company Hydro is one of the world’s five largest aluminum companies and the “greenest” large aluminum company in the world. In 2021, Hydro Aluminum Company launched two amazing aluminum daily necessities, which are made of 100% recycled aluminum alloy, one is called the “Hydro Chair” and the other is a long chair for outdoor rest.

5083T Alloy, the Model for Manufacture
Hydro chair is the Hydro aluminum Company 5083T alloy, its composition is the same as the 5083 alloy, because it is cast with waste, so in the registration grade “5083” after the letter T, to show the difference, 5083T alloy has superplasticity. As a result, the Hydro chair is built using a superplastic molding process, designed and manufactured by the British company Tom Dixon. Hydro Aluminum and Tom Dixon started working together in 2018, and it took three years to finally make this all-recycled aluminum leisure seat.
The Hydro chair is manufactured from 5083 alloy scrap and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
